Using english to : CALCULATE              1. Defenition :            to find (a number, answer, etc.) by using mathematical processes.    to get a general idea about the value, size, or cost of (something).   So  The definition of calculate is to use reason or common sense to determine something, or to use math to determine an answer. Note :   " Stoichiometry calculations are based on the fact that atoms are conserved. They cannot be destroyed or created. Numbers and kinds of atoms before and after the reactions are always the same. This is the basic law of nature".       Origin of calculatevv     from Classical Latin  calculatus , past participle of  calculare , to reckon ; from  calculus , pebble, stone used in doing arithmetic, diminutive of  calx , limestone: see calciulate  a. to make a computat...

USING ENGLISH TO PREDICT RENDEMENT OF PRODUCT A REACTION How to Predict Products in Chemical Reactions The first step  identifying the type of reaction involved is usually the most difficult. The primary reaction types students encounter are displacement, acid-base and combustion. They are easily identified if the tell-tale signs are known. Displacement reactions involve two ionic compounds with cations and anions, such as sodium sulfate, in which sodium (Na?) is the cation and sulfate (SO?²?) is the anion. Ionic compounds always consist of a metal and a nonmetal or polyatomic (multiple-atom) anion. Decomposition reactions involve a single compound breaking into two or more compounds. Acid-base reactions must involve an acid (identified by its chemical formula that begins with “H,” such as HCl). Combustion reactions involve hydrogen or a hydrocarbon (such as CH?) reacting with oxygen (O?). Displacement Reactions Identify the cation and anion of the ...
REPORT KINETICS CHEMICALS CHAPTER I 1.1. TITLE Chemical Kinetics 1.2. DAY / DATE M 1.3. PRACTICAL OBJECTIVES A. Measures changes in the concentrations of reagents by time B. Observe the effect of concentration, temperature, and catalyst on reaction rate C. Determining the rate laws of a reaction in an aqueous solution  CHAPTER II . Theoretical basis Reaction rate measurement is an amazing chemical field. From kinetic studies, the mechanism of the reaction can be reduced. Information about the reaction of catalysts and inhibitors can only be obtained through kinetic assessment. The rate of a chemical reaction can be affected by several factors: · Reactant concentrations (and sometimes products) · Temperature · Catalyst Rate measurements are usually performed under fixed experimental conditions, with one fixed factor whereas other factors are varied. When the influence of these factors on the rate ...
